Welcome to Chilton Middle School! At CMS, we are on a mission to ignite the potential of the whole child as they navigate the thrilling, fast paced transition from elementary school to high school. Middle school is an absolute whirlwind of growth and discovery, and we absolutely love the vibrant energy that our students bring to campus every single day. Our number one goal is to meet every student exactly where they are and surround them with the individualized support they need to truly thrive. Together, we are focused on building deep relationships rooted in trust, empowering our students to become confident, positive leaders in an ever changing world.
We have lined up an incredible array of opportunities designed to challenge, inspire, and spark curiosity. On the academic front, we dive into a rigorous, state aligned curriculum that gets students thinking big. Our classes feature College Preparatory Mathematics (CPM) to build master problem solvers, alongside dynamic Book Clubs and personalized reading choices in Literacy to foster a lifelong love for stories. In Science and Social Studies, we bring learning to life with hands-on, modern state and NGSS standards. Because we know that genius looks different in everyone, we emphasize multiple creative avenues for students to showcase their knowledge. Plus, our vibrant Related Arts courses perfectly blend with our core academics, giving students unforgettable experiences to develop their unique talents.
But the excitement at CMS extends way beyond the pages of a textbook! We offer a massive lineup of co-curricular activities designed to build unstoppable confidence, teamwork, and leadership. And if you love the stage, our middle school musical productions showcase the incredible artistic talent and heart of our students. Ultimately, the Chilton community is the bedrock of everything we do. We thrive on the energy, engagement, and passion of our families and community partners. The Chilton Middle School will provide students with a variety of developmentally appropriate learning experiences that will promote intellectual, physical, moral, and social-emotional growth in a safe environment. The staff will ensure the academic growth of each student by providing for individual differences. We will create a learning community that challenges students to assume responsibility for their own behavior and enhances their self-image. We will provide for their success in a supportive and caring environment, while focusing on each student as a lifelong learner.

We, the staff at the Chilton Middle School, are committed to the belief that transescents are at a unique and critical stage in their growth and development and that the emphasis of our school program should be on helping them to become lifelong learners while keeping in mind their fragile self-concept.

About the Eastshore Humane Association:
The Eastshore Humane Association is a non-profit, "no-kill" Animal Shelter located on Park Street in Chilton. They provide needed love, food, shelter and medical care for many animals. This year, the shelter has an unforeseen expense, as they need a new roof. The shelter roof was installed in 2001 with Certainteed Organic Asphalt Shingles that carried a 30 year warranty. The shingles are failing at 40% of their expected life resulting in serious risk to the roof substructure. Warranty and a Class Action Settlement with the shingle manufacturer may provide a small portion of the cost to replace the roof. Settlement timing is uncertain, but the roof may not get them through the winter.
Eastshore Humane Association is an IRS 501 (c) (3) nonprofit (EIN #39-1565423) and your donations are tax deductible, should you choose to donate to them directly!! Donations collected during the High School Basketball games will help them to keep a roof over the animal's heads!!

On behalf of the 8th grade, we would like to invite you and your family to a fun night at the movies! As you know, the 8th grade students are fundraising for our class trip, and this year we have the opportunity to host a night at the Chilton Twilight Drive-in Movie Theater on Saturday May 11. At approximately 8:20 p.m. The Croods (PG) and at 10 p.m. GI Joe 2: Retaliation (PG-13) will be played. A bake sale will be offered. Advanced tickets cost $5 and will be $6 at the door. We hope you can make it to this fun filled night.
