Dear Chilton Families and Community Members,

Welcome to Chilton Middle School! At CMS, we are on a mission to ignite the potential of the whole child as they navigate the thrilling, fast paced transition from elementary school to high school. Middle school is an absolute whirlwind of growth and discovery, and we absolutely love the vibrant energy that our students bring to campus every single day. Our number one goal is to meet every student exactly where they are and surround them with the individualized support they need to truly thrive. Together, we are focused on building deep relationships rooted in trust, empowering our students to become confident, positive leaders in an ever changing world.

We have lined up an incredible array of opportunities designed to challenge, inspire, and spark curiosity. On the academic front, we dive into a rigorous, state aligned curriculum that gets students thinking big. Our classes feature College Preparatory Mathematics (CPM) to build master problem solvers, alongside dynamic Book Clubs and personalized reading choices in Literacy to foster a lifelong love for stories. In Science and Social Studies, we bring learning to life with hands-on, modern state and NGSS standards. Because we know that genius looks different in everyone, we emphasize multiple creative avenues for students to showcase their knowledge. Plus, our vibrant Related Arts courses perfectly blend with our core academics, giving students unforgettable experiences to develop their unique talents.

But the excitement at CMS extends way beyond the pages of a textbook! We offer a massive lineup of co-curricular activities designed to build unstoppable confidence, teamwork, and leadership. And if you love the stage, our middle school musical productions showcase the incredible artistic talent and heart of our students. Ultimately, the Chilton community is the bedrock of everything we do. We thrive on the energy, engagement, and passion of our families and community partners. CMS Announces auditions for “Mulan Jr”

All interested students in grades 5-8 are invited to audition for the upcoming musical production of “Mulan Jr!” The first round of auditions will take place December 13 – 19 during music classes at CMS. 7th and 8th grade students not currently enrolled in choir should contact Mrs. Paffenroth or Mrs. Hanson to set up an audition time. Callbacks will be on December 21st. The cast will be announced on Friday, December 22rd. For the first round of auditions, students should choose one of the songs listed under the following categories:

  • “Colors of the Wind” – girls
  • “You’ve Got A Friend In Me” – boys
  • “Seize the Day” -- boys/girls

Students interested in a lead part should audition individually. Students interested in being in the chorus may sing with a partner. During initial auditions students will only sing. For call backs, students should be prepared to sing again and read for characters.

(COMING SOON)   Below you will find mp3s of the audition songs to practice with. All students planning on auditioning should pick up an information sheet, an audition sheet and the appropriate music from Mrs. Paffenroth or Mrs. Tiegs in the choir room. Audition sheets are due to Mrs. Hanson by December 12th.
